They open up their debut campaign on February 28th against Workington at The Gnoll, but will host Wigan the week before in their first ever match on Sunday February 21 (kick-off 2.30pm).

Wakefield coach John Kear believes his side will have to improve before facing champions Leeds next week despite seeing off Catalans Dragons on Sunday afternoon. Youngster Dale Morton crossed twice as the Wildcats recovered from 16-10 down in the second half to see off the French side 28-20 for their second Engage Super League win. Catalans were without playmaker Thomas Bosc and suffered a further blow on the morning of the game as full-back Clint Greenshields went down ill.

The Wendell Sailor show is over, no more comebacks says the flamboyant showman who entertained fans almost as much off the field as he did on it for 15 years. Sailor officially retired after St George Illawarra's loss at the hands of his former club Brisbane in last year's NRL finals. But the All Star concept of an Indigenous side playing an NRL side has given the Sarina-born Torres Strait Islander one last encore.
