By Laine Clark - Shouldering responsibility is nothing new to Gold Coast Titans captain Scott Prince. But the inspirational playmaker gave the term a whole new meaning by sparking a 21-18 NRL win over Wests Tigers at Skilled Park on Friday night and sealing a home final. Alarm bells were ringing after the injury-plagued Prince ran off clutching his shoulder midway in the first half following a heavy tackle by Wests Tigers prop Keith Galloway.

By Wayne Heming - An emotional Israel Folau refused to declare his rugby league career over as Brisbane bowed out of the NRL finals race with an 18-16 loss to Canberra at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night. Folau will begin a new sporting challenge next year with the AFL expansion side Greater Western Sydney who have signed the 21-year-old to a four year deal.

By Nathan Gilson - The prospects of the Goulburn Workers Bulldogs having a team in the NSW Cup competition next year are dead according to Workers Club CEO Peter Walker. The deal had been mooted after NSW Rugby League threatened that any Canberra Raiders players lining up in the Queensland Cup for feeder club Souths Logan would be banned from playing in the NRL.
